Amazon also sells his books and it is worth purchasing any of them. But, if you want a simple and fairly detailed overview of what is involved in creating a house I would suggest acquiring any copy of "How to Build a Property - Habitat for Humanity". You in all probability want to devote even more money on your house but the book honestly has lots of ideas on quality versus costs. Those guys construct all over the world and really know how to clarify the fundamentals. It really is the little short cuts in a roof, foundation or framing that haunt you down the road.
