I am the President of a tiny condo creating and like most condo owners I had tiny knowledge on how to method our construction and repair projects when I took office: about acquiring the suitable contractors, defining the scope of work, figuring out what questions to ask, and keeping factors legal. Its rather a understanding curve and I wish this book would have been obtainable when I started. But even following years of performing such projects, this book is my new reference for something from checking contractors workers comp to preparing to-do lists when approaching any creating project. It will need to be mandatory reading for anybody who is an officer or director on a condo board. It is also a superb read in general and if you are building you personal house, you have alot more guts than me, but do not start without it.

What a terrific book! I am so glad this book exists, I will be recommending it it all my customers that plan on constructing or renovating their properties. I wish this had been in existence when I built my residence. I learned the challenging way that not all contractors have your most effective interests at heart and had to deal with each trouble as it came up... Fairly stressful! You assume that building your dream household or carrying out that renovation that you have been wanting will be a piece of cake as long as you employ authorities... consider once again! There are so various layers to building and renovation that you can not possibly imagine unless you are in that organization. Let an professional in construction guide you and be your advocate... read "Avoiding The Con in Construction" just before you begin and maintain it with you until your project is completed. I also want to add that the writing style is knowledgeable, organized, logical, very easy to follow and sometimes humorous. You will get pleasure from it.
